When I first picked up my guitar again at 60, I wasn’t thinking about music charts, streaming platforms, or even calling myself a songwriter. I just needed a way to turn emotion into something meaningful — to take pain, love, and hope, and give them a voice.
Music became that voice.
At the time, I was driven by something much deeper than creativity alone. I wanted to help my family, bring awareness to a cause close to my heart, and maybe, through my songs, inspire others to keep pushing forward no matter what life threw their way. Every line, every note carried intention — a purpose that gave me strength when I didn’t have much left.
But as time went on, something shifted. I began to rediscover the pure joy of creating. The act of writing, recording, and shaping each melody became its own reward. What began as a mission of love slowly transformed into a passion that brings me peace, laughter, and meaning every single day.
Now, I write and record simply because I love it — because storytelling through music reminds me that even in the hardest seasons, beauty still exists. Each song is a piece of my life, a reflection of the people who’ve shaped me, and a reminder that it’s never too late to start something new.
If my journey says anything, it’s this: creativity doesn’t have an expiration date. Whether it’s through music, words, or any form of art, we all have something inside us worth sharing.
This blog is where I’ll share more about the stories, emotions, and experiences behind the songs — not as a roadmap to success, but as a celebration of resilience, faith, and the power of finding joy again.
Thanks for being here at the beginning of this next chapter. I hope, in some way, these stories help you reconnect with your own.
